I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
